Le mahJ
Through more than 130 works and numerous unpublished documents, this exhibition presented by the mahJ, renews our view of this generation of artists who arrived in Paris between 1900 and 1914. Among these men and women, many were Jewish artists from the great European metropolises, but also of the Russian Empire, who seek artistic, social and religious emancipation. They are not from any "School" in the traditional sense: they do not share a style, but a common history, an ideal and, for some, a destiny.
